An event built around experience

The 45th North West Zone AOICON was held in Rohtak on 11–13 September 2026 under the theme “Mastering ENT Through Experience”. Its public record connects PGIMS Rohtak with Royal Velvet Resort and brings together workshop teaching, lectures, panels, postgraduate contributions and ceremonial activities. This feature follows the structure of that record rather than presenting a transcript of the meeting.

From workshops to specialty sessions

After the opening workshop day, the Day 2 programme at Royal Velvet included an award-cum-oration and blocks devoted to otology, cochlear implantation, FESS and septorhinoplasty, and sleep apnoea. Lecture titles sat alongside panel and case-discussion formats. The programme therefore offers more than a list of subjects: it shows where a topic was approached through an individual presentation and where several perspectives were scheduled together.

Complex care and the wider system

Day 3’s published programme included head-and-neck and skull-base sessions, followed by the ENT Healthcare Ecosystem discussion. The sequence placed specialty practice alongside questions about the institutions and services surrounding it. This editorial reading of the programme should not be mistaken for a clinical consensus statement or an account of recommendations agreed by the speakers.

The postgraduate record

The digital souvenir provides a further route into the meeting through paper, poster and case-report titles. It also links the postgraduate quiz with the conference’s teaching legacy. These records acknowledge contributions that can be missed when a meeting is remembered only through its main-stage programme. An abstract title, however, is not a full research report; methods, findings and limitations need to be read in the original work before any conclusion is drawn.

Using the programme carefully

An archived timetable is a useful map, but not proof of attendance, presentation delivery or learning outcomes. Some entries retain placeholders or overlapping times. For that reason, this account does not assign new attendance figures, award winners or speaker quotations. Readers seeking exact faculty roles should use the linked session and people records, and raise corrections with the editorial contact.
