Dr. Vikas Kakkar

Dr. Vikas Kakkar is a senior ENT surgeon, academician, and medical educator with over four decades of experience spanning clinical excellence, surgical innovation, teaching, and institution-building. Widely respected for his depth of knowledge and ethical practice, Dr. Kakkar has played a defining role in shaping generations of ENT surgeons in India.

As the Managing Director of GeNext MedEd Foundation, he provides strategic vision and academic leadership to an initiative dedicated to bridging gaps in postgraduate and early-career surgical training. Parallelly, as Head of ENT & Head and Neck Oncology at We Care Multispeciality Hospital, Rohtak, he continues active clinical practice with a strong focus on mentorship and patient-centric care.

Clinical and Academic Journey

Dr. Kakkar is an alumnus of PGIMS, Rohtak, where he completed his specialization in ENT. His professional journey is deeply rooted in Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, where he served the Department of ENT for nearly 40 years, contributing extensively to patient care, teaching, and departmental growth. He superannuated in 2019 after a distinguished academic career.

Following this, he joined SGT Medical College, where he served as Head of the Department of ENT from 2019 to 2024, further strengthening academic systems and surgical training frameworks.

Currently, at We Care Multispeciality Hospital, Rohtak, Dr. Kakkar continues to deliver advanced ENT and Head & Neck Oncology care while actively mentoring young surgeons and consultants.

  • Trained in otology at the House Ear Institute, USA, one of the world’s most prestigious centers for ear research and surgery.
