Is this for me?

If you’ve ever said “why has nobody fixed this yet?” — yes.

People who work closest to patients see problems first. GIC gives those observations a live stage at ARMSCON — the Annual Rohtak Medical Students’ Conference, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences — so they don’t stay in a notebook.

  • the drip was empty again
  • took 20 min to find the file

  • someone should build something for this
…wait. maybe that someone is me.

Every great pitch starts as a rant.

What can you pitch?

Got an idea that could fix a ward?

Devices & diagnostics

A tool, a kit, a smarter test

Digital health & AI

Apps, platforms, clinical AI

Hospital workflow

Patient safety, OPD flow, records

Medical education

New ways to learn and train

Community health

Ideas beyond the white coat

Idea starters

Problems hiding in your hospital.

Pick one. Fix it. Pitch it.

01

OPD queues nobody can predict

Patients wait hours; staff can’t see the rush coming.

02

Handover notes that vanish

Critical details lost between shifts.

03

Follow-ups that never happen

Patients discharged — and never seen again.

04

Stock-outs noticed too late

The drug runs out before anyone reorders.

How the tank works

From idea to impact.

  1. 1Submit

Send your idea online — a short abstract is all it takes.

  2. 2Get shortlisted

An expert jury picks the ideas with real-world potential.

  3. 3Face the sharks

Pitch live on the ARMSCON’26 stage.

ARMSCON 2025 · 11th edition

2025 was just the teaser.

A one-hour pilot asked one question: do young healthcare learners have ideas worth backing? The answer was a clear yes.

Presenting VitaLink at GIC 20251st₹10,000

VitaLink — the smart IV line monitor

Dr Kaushal · 2024 batch, BPS Government Medical College, Khanpur Kalan

A low-cost, reusable clip-on sensor for any IV tubing. It detects flow interruption, air bubbles and infiltration, then alerts staff with a bedside light or beep and a nursing-station app — at a target cost under ₹300.

Paediatric tooth development device pitch at GIC 20252nd₹5,000

Paediatric tooth development monitor

Dr Ankit Ahlawat · 2022 dental batch, PDM Dental College

A child-friendly device using sensors and imaging to track root development, eruption and resorption over time — with records parents and dentists can review together.

No prototypes needed: undergraduates from a medical and a dental college brought real clinical problems, frugal device ideas and, in one case, formal design drawings.

From the GIC community

Ideas keep growing after the stage.

Synergistic green nanotechnology

Curcumin–green tea co-loaded polymeric nanoparticles against Enterococcus faecalis — presented by Ankit, BDS final year. Safer, bio-derived nanomaterials for preventive dentistry, endodontic infection control, periodontal regeneration and implant surfaces, with an honest look at the barriers: standardisation, long-term safety, approval and scale-up.

  • Green synthesis over toxic inputs
  • Antimicrobial action against biofilm
  • Evidence before adoption
2026 is the main event

Bigger in every way.

Pitch time

Your questions

GIC 2026, explained.

Who can pitch?

UG and PG participants in any domain aligned with healthcare or medical education — medicine and every speciality, dental, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and allied health.

Do I need a prototype?

No. Last year’s winners pitched a concept and a set of design drawings. A clear problem and a convincing idea matter most — a prototype is a bonus.

What do I get?

Guidance, mentorship and financial support from the real sharks of the medical community — plus prize money.
